Title: Quality Compliance Manager On-site

Reports to: Director of Operations

Based at: Mucci Pac Ltd., Kingsville, ON

Type of Employment: Full-Time, permanent, 6-days a week; and some additional hours which may include Saturdays, depending on workload and priorities. Must be able to travel as needed across Canada, United States, and Mexico.

Position Summary:

The Quality Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and driving quality compliance standards across Mucci Farms' network of distribution centers, grower partners, and customer locations. This role leads quality improvement initiatives, establishes performance metrics, supports grower and customer quality programs, and works cross-functionally to ensure consistent product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. The position requires strong leadership, collaboration, and frequent travel throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico to support quality excellence across the organization.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop, design and implement quality compliance processes and controls across the network of Distribution Centers (DC), internal and external growers
  • This role will have responsibility for Quality corporately at the strategic level and will require travel to Canadian, US and Mexico sites. Including Customer sites.
  • Aiding, assisting with Grower Quality concerns noted at the DC level
  • Liaising with Procurement, Supply and/or grower partners
  • Development and attainment / accountability for DC level and Grower Level Quality Metrics.
  • Traveling to Customer DC’s to determine process improvements at customer site and Mucci site as it relates to quality
  • With a Continuous Improvement mindset, deploying universal quality compliance processes across the entire Mucci Farms network
  • This role requires a nimble balance between customer service requirements and Just in Time nature of Produce supply
  • Continually developing and refining goals, building off prior learnings
  • Working with peer departments to standardize product QA specs for both growers and customers
  • Aid, assist, technical support for development and implementation of a Grower Score Card. Providing procurement with specific / quantifiable data on each vendor grower in a centralized format. Providing source with actionable feedback
  • Escalating grower quality noncompliance and working with procurement /supply to initiate corrective actions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • BA degree in Business or equivalent education/experience in warehouse/distribution or related field
  • Minimum 3 to 5+ years of supervisory experience in operations/distribution or related business
  • Outstanding organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Outstanding leadership abilities and teamwork orientation
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse and multi-site environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, (written & verbal) and ability to communicate with external and internal customers at all levels
  • Strong computer skills, with ability to use Microsoft Office, Excel and comfort with systems
  • Proven ability to deal with and resolve challenging employees and/or situations

Physical Abilities:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work in office environments
  • Must be able to travel via Air, Car across Canada, United States, and Mexico

Compensation: 100,000 – 125,000 annually, benefits, RSP matching, on-site parking and other company perks
