You already know how to do the work. Now do it somewhere that respects the craft.

Trail Tire Vernon Heavy Duty is looking for an experienced Mobile Commercial Tire Technician who takes genuine pride in keeping transport fleets safe, reliable, and moving.

This is a high-volume, field-based position for someone who can work independently, make sound decisions, and deliver consistently excellent service. You will work directly with professional drivers, fleet managers, mechanics, and business owners who understand the value of quality work.

We offer strong compensation, quality customers, a capable team, and an employer that understands a simple truth: good technicians need dependable equipment, proper tools, and an organized operation behind them.

What You’ll Earn

  • $30–$40 per hour, based on proven experience and capability
  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Additional pay for rotational after-hours on-call service
  • Extended health benefits
  • Company-provided uniforms and tools
  • Paid training and certification development

The Work

Your primary responsibility will be mobile tire service for commercial transportation fleets, including trucks and trailers.

You will:

  • Perform commercial truck and trailer tire service in the field
  • Complete tire changes, repairs, rotations, inspections, and related fleet service
  • Work independently from a fully equipped mobile service truck
  • Service equipment in customer yards, shops, and roadside environments
  • Identify tire conditions that could affect safety, reliability, or operating cost
  • Communicate professionally with drivers, fleet managers, owners, and mechanics
  • Complete work efficiently without compromising safety or workmanship
  • Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked service truck
  • Participate in a rotational after-hours on-call schedule

This is physical, hands-on work performed in changing weather and service conditions. It requires awareness, sound judgment, mechanical aptitude, and disciplined attention to detail.

Who We’re Looking For

You are already experienced in commercial tire service and can be trusted to represent the company professionally when working independently at a customer’s operation.

You understand that commercial tire service is not just about changing tires. Customers depend on us to protect their equipment, their drivers, their schedules, and their businesses.

The right person:

  • Takes visible pride in the quality of their work
  • Works safely and refuses to normalize shortcuts
  • Can organize and manage their own mobile workload
  • Notices details before they become problems
  • Communicates confidently and respectfully with customers
  • Keeps their truck, tools, inventory, and paperwork organized
  • Works with urgency while maintaining professional standards
  • Is dependable when customers and teammates are counting on them
  • Wants their effort and expertise to be recognized and properly compensated

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience in commercial tire service or a closely comparable mobile field-service role
  • Proven ability to operate and maintain a commercial tire service truck
  • Valid driver’s licence with a driving record suitable for operating a company vehicle
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently in customer yards, shops, roadside locations, and outdoor conditions
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of commercial tire service
  • Willingness to participate in rotational after-hours on-call service

TIA certification is an asset, but it is not required. We are prepared to provide training to the right experienced technician.

We understand what makes field technicians successful.

We prioritize the repair, maintenance, and replacement of tools and equipment because the right equipment makes demanding work safer, faster, and more satisfying. We believe technicians who are properly supported produce better work—and customers receive better service.

  • Quality customers
  • Respect for skilled tradespeople
  • High standards without unnecessary corporate bureaucracy

Trail Tire has served the Vernon area since 1968. Our reputation has been built by people who understand that dependable service earns long-term customer trust.

Is This the Right Move for You?

If you are experienced, capable, and tired of disorganization, neglected equipment, limited earning potential, or having your effort taken for granted, we should talk.

Apply through Indeed with your résumé. All qualified applications will be handled professionally and confidentially.
