Full job description

Job Overview
Working one on one with children and youth with developmental disabilities or in group settings. Following individualized programs designed by an on-site behaviour consultant.

Duties

  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Synthesise the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
  • Discuss the progress and problems of children at staff meetings
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $26.46-$27.36 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
