Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team as we expand our dumplings menu in the area of Vancouver. The ideal candidate will be passionate about dumplings and noodles, with a strong focus on food safety and quality. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment and as part of one of Canada's most exciting large scale projects in recent history. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and presenting dishes according to our standards, ensuring consistency and efficiency in the kitchen. Please note that this position involves evening and weekend shifts. Preference will be given to candidates with these availabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items with precision, following established recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
  • Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of supply needs
  • Assist in plating dishes attractively for service
  • Follow sanitation procedures for kitchen equipment and utensils

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is preferred
  • Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and efficiency
  • Strong understanding of the food industry and customer service principles
