Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food preparation, excellent food safety practices, and the ability to deliver exceptional food service to our guests. The Breakfast Cook plays a vital role in ensuring that breakfast offerings are prepared efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and meets safety guidelines
  • Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing work surfaces and utensils
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
  • Serve dishes promptly and courteously to guests or servers
  • Follow all food handling procedures to ensure food safety and prevent cross-contamination
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred, especially with meal preparation and cooking
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
  • Strong understanding of serving, food preparation, and cooking methods specific to breakfast dishes
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Food industry experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
