Hiring Manager: Director, Sales and Marketing

Location: Winnipeg area (remote)

Territory: Manitoba/ Saskatchewan/NW Ontario

Hours: Full Time, Permanent

Salary Range: Inclusive of bonus, KIPs, Car allowance

Overview:

Shamir Canada is committed to a long-term development strategy in Central Canada. We need a highly motivated and relationship-focused individual to join our team as Account Executive – the primary business contact for our current and future lab business in the region. You will be fully trained to manage the business and master the Shamir portfolio, supported ongoing by our National Education Manager and Sales Director. We will grow by providing timely customer solutions that deliver the highest possible satisfaction for their patients and consumers.

Qualifications:

  • Perseverance and resiliency in personal and professional settings
  • Competitive drive supported by strong strategical and tactical thinking
  • Excellent verbal skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to develop rapport
  • 3+ years current (or recent) employment in the optical industry is required
  • Outside sales experience within the optical industry is preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft suite of products
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License, and own a vehicle
  • Willingness to travel overnight within the territory (approximately 60 overnights each year) and significant highway mileage, including typical winter driving conditions

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional support to our current customers, exceeding their expectations for delivering patient-focused solutions that grow the independent eyecare channel.
  • Build assigned territory by setting priorities, prospecting, developing new business and conducting follow up meetings with customers.
  • Maintain knowledge on products, market conditions, competition and industry trends through networking, training sessions and vendor meetings.
  • Actively participate in business activities such as trade shows, seminars and conferences representing company products and services.
  • Provide unparalleled professionalism with a proactive, strategic approach.
  • Utilize sales management tools, such as Salesforce.
  • Administrative responsibilities as required, from research of a prospect, to processing signed service contracts, to reporting to ensure seamless onboarding of new business.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets as defined by the geographical territory.
