Compensation: $21.84/hr
Shift: Monday - Friday; 2am-10:30am

SUMMARY
The Dock Receiver assists in unloading freight, sorting product, counting, and compiling skids for the Terminal.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understand Erb’s sorting and handling of freight (fresh and frozen), the company Load/Stop system.
  • Maintain correct lifting procedures.
  • Move product via hand jack safely.
  • Count and sort mixed freight.
  • Complete shrink wrapping of product going to other locations.
  • Ensure appropriate bills are with the skid and photocopy bills as required.
  • Record shortages of product on bills and driver’s sheet.
  • Photocopy any necessary bills for O.S.D Department.
  • Ensure dock equipment is safe and in working order.
  • Responsible to follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete any necessary clean up and/or sweeping, garbage etc.
  • Understand all company health & safety policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • English verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to count freight required.
  • Required to be a minimum of 18 years old to work a night shift (past 11:00pm).
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Positive and team-oriented attitude
  • Previous experience handling food and refrigerated products preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven positive work ethic
  • Ability to tolerate working within a cold refrigerated environment
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Refrigerated and Freezer environment.
  • Overtime may be required.
