Job Overview

Opportunities in the following RN specialties:

  • Candidates will possess at least 2 years of experience in a Canadian healthcare setting.
  • Significant preference is given to candidates that possess the ability to work in Rural Combination assignments which is ER/OBS or ER/Med-surg + LTC.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Travel Nurses to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and home care environments. As a Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in diverse locations while gaining valuable experience across different specialties. Your expertise in patient care will be essential in delivering effective nursing services to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams utilizing electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
  • Perform phlebotomy and other laboratory procedures as needed.
  • Manage cases effectively, particularly in acute care settings, pain management, pediatrics, home care, and assisted living environments.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using medical terminology.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in patient care.

Experience
Ideal candidates will possess at least 2 years of relevant experience and demonstrate the following skills and background:

  • Proven hospital experience with a focus on acute care nursing.
  • Familiarity with pain management techniques and case management processes.
  • Experience working with children in pediatric settings or providing senior care, including dementia care.
  • Background in home care or nursing home environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration protocols.
  • Laboratory experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
