DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Account Executive to join our Canada Public Sector Healthcare team, leading cloud adoption and revenue growth across British Columbia's healthcare organizations. In this role, you will work across an enterprise-level portfolio — including the largest provincial health authorities, multi-site provider networks, payors, and health technology companies helping them leverage AWS to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and innovation at scale.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for your accounts, building deep C-suite partnerships and influencing provincial-level digital health strategy. You will define and execute multi-year account plans that align AWS capabilities with long-term institutional priorities, while shaping the broader go-to-market strategy for BC healthcare.

Key job responsibilities
Account Ownership: Drive the full sales cycle for a portfolio of healthcare customers in British Columbia, including health authorities, providers, health-tech startups, and provincial health agencies.

Revenue Growth: Develop and execute account plans to meet or exceed annual revenue targets, including new workload migrations, net-new customer acquisition, and expansion of existing cloud footprint.

Relationship Building: Establish and maintain executive-level relationships (CIO, CMIO, CDO, VP Infrastructure) within assigned accounts. Serve as a trusted advisor on cloud strategy and digital transformation.

Solution Selling: Partner with AWS Solutions Architects, Partner Solutions Architects, and Specialist teams to position AWS services (compute, storage, analytics, AI/ML, security) to solve healthcare-specific challenges such as EHR modernization, clinical analytics, population health, and health data interoperability.

Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust qualified pipeline through proactive prospecting, event engagement, partner-sourced leads, and executive briefings.

Partner Ecosystem: Collaborate with AWS Partner Network — including ISVs, GSIs, and regional consulting partners — to deliver joint solutions and accelerate customer outcomes.

Deal Strategy: Lead deal qualification, commercial negotiations, Private Pricing Agreements.

Industry Expertise: Stay current on BC healthcare landscape, provincial digital health strategies, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.

About the team
The Canada Healthcare team is part of the AWS Canada Public Sector team and is also closely aligned with the global AWS healthcare community. We work backwards from our customer needs to ensure they are successfully able to meet their mission objectives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of technical sales in B2B environments, in a solution-sales / technology-related environment experience
  • Experience planning, managing and closing competitive sales efforts and managing deals from negotiation, to closing and through delivery
  • Track record of building and executing multi-year strategic account plans
  • Track record of consistently exceeding quota and key performance metrics in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • 5+ years selling to healthcare, life sciences, or public sector organizations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • AWS certification
  • Experience selling cloud or infrastructure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) to healthcare organizations
  • Familiarity with BC healthcare ecosystem
  • Deep understanding of healthcare IT systems and data standards
  • Knowledge of Canadian data residency and privacy regulations
