Full job description

We are currently looking to hire a CDLA Driver in Laval, QC

Bilingual is essential (English and French)

The Driver CDL A delivers and picks up equipment to/from customers. Drivers may operate a

variety of construction rental equipment, depending on the driver’s job classification and type of

license. In the Driver CDL A position, drivers are permitted to operate heavy equipment such as

semi-trucks and trailers (“low boys”) consistent with DOT classification CDL-A. The primary

objective of the driver is to meet the immediate equipment needs of customers through delivery

of that equipment in a safe and timely manner.

Pay range is 30 to 34$ /hr + OT pay

Hours: 6:30-4:30 Monday to Friday

As a Class 1 Commercial Driver, your primary responsibility will be to safely, efficiently, and

courteously deliver equipment to customers on time. You'll also have the opportunity to advance

Through frequent interactions with customers, you will serve as a company ambassador by

providing outstanding customer service. And because you'll be based locally, you'll be home

every evening.

Key Responsibilities:

● Deliver and pick up equipment for customers.

● Operate delivery and construction equipment, such as a 53-foot tractor-trailer, in

compliance with Transport Canada standards.

● Comply with all equipment-specific safety requirements, including federal motor carrier

safety regulations.

● Maintain driver logs and perform pre-trip inspections.

● Recommend additional equipment and supplies that customers may need.

● Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

● Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

● High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.

● Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 20 kg (45 lbs).

● Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.

● Strong commitment to safety.
