QA Technician
Be a quality assurance technician in a lab at the only rendering facility in Canada. Gain unique experience, while learning transferrable skills for quality assurance in the food production industry.
Note: This Position is full time, night shift ONLY.
What will YOU be doing as a QA Technician
● Performing laboratory chemical and physical analyses of raw materials, in process, and finished product.
● Taking product for sampling using microbiology test, verification of pH on the protein line.
● Training plant employees on GMPs and HACCP monitoring and sanitation.
● Preparing samples to test as per environmental and water testing, finished product for microbiology testing
● Performing inspections of sanitation in the line for pre-operation, monitor deviation, and follow corrective action process.
What YOU bring to the table:
● 2+ years of lab experience.
● 1+ years of lab experience in the meat/food manufacturing industry (preferred).
● Educational background in chemistry.
● Ability to work independently on rotating shifts.
Salary information:$25.66/hour and top rate $28.51 after step progression for time worked over 2 years.
Shift information: Straight Night Shift
