Full job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Virtual Family Medicine Physician to join our virtual health clinic in Ontario. As a Physician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare services to patients of all ages through virtual platforms. You will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients by delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care and promoting health and wellness.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual consultations with patients of all ages to assess their healthcare needs, provide diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, specialists, and pharmacists, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Perform physical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as necessary.
  • Provide education and counselling to patients and their families on various healthcare topics, including disease prevention, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records to ensure continuity of care and facilitate effective communication with the healthcare team.
  • Stay current with advancements in telehealth technology and virtual care practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of patient consultations.
  • Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of medical practice, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and active CPSO license.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in Ontario, Canada.
  • Proficiency in using telemedicine platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients remotely.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills, with a commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs, including evening and weekend hours as required.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
