Full job description

Sales. Relationships. Life-Changing Careers.

This is not an administrative admissions position.

This is a professional consultative sales role.

At Aveda Institute Winnipeg, you'll help prospective students make one of the biggest decisions of their lives. You'll build relationships, uncover what's holding them back, overcome objections, and confidently guide students toward a career in the beauty and wellness industry.

If you enjoy building trust, working toward goals, and helping people make meaningful career decisions, you'll thrive here.

If you're looking for an administrative role with minimal sales responsibility, this position isn't the right fit.

What You'll Do

  • Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective students
  • Build relationships through phone, text, email, and in-person conversations
  • Conduct engaging campus tours and information appointments
  • Ask thoughtful questions to understand each student's goals, motivations, and concerns
  • Guide prospective students and their families through the admissions and enrolment process
  • Consistently follow up until every lead reaches a clear outcome
  • Confidently overcome objections and help students move forward with confidence
  • Maintain accurate records and activity within our CRM
  • Participate in open houses, recruitment events, career fairs, and community outreach
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership to achieve enrolment goals
  • Deliver an exceptional experience for every prospective student

How Success Is Measured

This is a performance-driven position.

You'll be responsible for converting:

  • Leads into conversations
  • Conversations into campus tours
  • Campus tours into enrolled students

Success requires persistence, strong communication, excellent follow-up, relationship building, and the confidence to ask people to move forward.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has demonstrated the ability to influence decisions and achieve results.

Ideal backgrounds include:

  • Consultative sales
  • Admissions
  • Student recruitment
  • Business development
  • Membership sales
  • Account management
  • High-performing retail sales

You should have:

  • A proven history of achieving sales or performance targets
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence making outbound calls and following up every day
  • The ability to uncover concerns and handle objections professionally
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using a CRM system is considered an asset

Admissions experience is an asset. Proven sales success is more important.

You'll Thrive Here If...

  • You genuinely enjoy meeting new people.
  • You ask great questions and listen well.
  • You naturally build trust and rapport.
  • You're motivated by goals and performance.
  • You're organized and follow through consistently.
  • You enjoy helping people make important life decisions.

This Role Probably Isn't For You If...

  • You're looking primarily for an administrative position.
  • You dislike making outbound calls or following up.
  • You're uncomfortable asking someone to make a decision.
  • You prefer maintaining processes over influencing outcomes.
  • Sales targets make you uncomfortable.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting salary from $50,000 base + uncapped performance incentives + leadership growth opportunities
  • Performance-based incentive program
  • Employer-paid downtown parking
  • Extended health and dental benefits
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Mileage reimbursement for approved business travel
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Career growth opportunities within a growing organization
