Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) / Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT)

Be Positive Blood Collection is seeking a compassionate, professional, and reliable Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) or Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join our growing team in St. John’s, NL.

As a member of our team, you’ll provide exceptional patient care through both clinic-based and mobile blood collection services. If you’re passionate about delivering a positive healthcare experience and enjoy working independently, we’d love to hear from you.

Position Details

Position: Full-Time (35 hours/week)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Starting Wage: $23.00/hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following established protocols

Provide excellent patient care in both clinic and mobile settings

Accurately identify, label, and prepare specimens for transport

Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation

Follow infection prevention and quality assurance standards

Travel to patient locations for scheduled mobile collections

Qualifications

Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) or Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) certification

Experience with venipuncture and specimen collection

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation required for mobile collections
