FRONT OFFICE SUPERVISOR

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Assistant Rooms Director, the Front Office Supervisor supports daily Front Office operations by overseeing Guest Service Agents, assisting with reservations, check-ins/check-outs, and ensuring exceptional guest service standards are upheld. This role assists with training and team support, and is the first point of contact for escalated guest concerns.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and support Guest Service Agents
  • Assist with reservations, check-ins, and check-outs
  • Handle escalated guest concerns professionally
  • Complete daily supervisory checklists and administrative tasks
  • Support cash handling and reconciliation
  • Liaise with the Sales Team on group business
  • Support training, mentoring, and coaching of team members
  • Cover breaks and support daily coverage needs
  • Occasional overnight Duty Manager shifts (asset)
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Support coverage of breaks, including at the Front Desk
  • Carry the Emergency Phone (if First Aid certified)
  • Ability to cover occasional overnight Duty Manager shifts is considered an asset
  • Support training, mentoring, and coaching for new and existing team members
  • Projects and other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous Front Office / guest service experience in a hotel or resort environment required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail
  • High level of professionalism and guest service focus
  • Upon successful completion of the three-month probationary period, incumbent will be required to complete First Aid Level 3
