Dakota Dunes Thermal Spa is a world-class destination featuring our NEW one of a kind INDIGENOUS themed THERMAL WATERS SPA that features expansive thermal waters, spa rituals, day spa services, and inspired food & beverage offerings. Our mission is to create an unforgettable guest journey that nurtures wellbeing, connection, and renewal.

We are seeking an Executive Housekeeper to join our team to help open, and lead, a team responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout our thermal spa, treatment areas, relaxation spaces, and guest facilities.

Position Overview

To provide strategic leadership and operational direction for all housekeeping operations within Dakota Dunes Thermal Spa. This includes thermal waters areas, change rooms, treatment rooms, relaxation lounges, public spaces, staff facilities, laundry operations, and administrative areas.

The Executive Housekeeper will ensure exceptional cleanliness, presentation, safety, and operational standards throughout the facility while developing a high-performing team and supporting outstanding guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire housekeeping, laundry, and public area teams.
  • Oversee recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and discipline when necessary.
  • Establish and manage supervisory positions and daily operational assignments.
  • Set and lead departmental meetings to align objectives and maintain accountability.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and professionalism.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and succession planning for key positions.


Housekeeping & Facility Operations

  • Oversee daily cleaning and presentation standards throughout the thermal spa.
  • Implement inspection programs to ensure consistent cleanliness and facility presentation.
  • Coordinate deep cleaning schedules and preventative maintenance support programs.
  • Manage laundry operations, linen inventories, uniform programs, and quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, WHMIS, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support guest flow by maintaining exceptional standards in all guest-facing areas.
Administration & Financial Management
  • Manage departmental purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and supplier relationships.
  • Develop annual budgets and forecasts for housekeeping operations.
  • Monitor labour costs, supply costs, linen utilization, and departmental productivity.
  • Review operational KPIs and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Achieve sustainable financial performance while maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards.
Guest Experience & Innovation
  • Ensure all guest-facing areas consistently exceed presentation standards.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and service recovery opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Spa Operations to enhance guest comfort and satisfaction.
  • Drive innovation through sustainability initiatives, operational efficiencies, and improved cleaning systems.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a spa, resort, or hospitality environment.
  • Proven track record in managing multi outlet food locations
  • Strong financial acumen and team development skills.
  • Passion for wellness, guest experience, and creating memorable environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
