Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable SQF lead to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our food safety and quality management systems in compliance with SQF standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the integrity of our manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality control and assurance across our operations. The SQF Practitioner will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving food safety protocols while supporting continuous compliance with industry regulations.

Duties

  • Maintain SQF programs to ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, products, and facilities.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to quality metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Document findings accurately and maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly and effectively.
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff on SQF standards, quality management procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations for non-conformances and oversee corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing activities adhere to established food safety protocols and quality assurance policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at elevating product safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage and print product labels, including verification of ingredient lists, allergens, nutrition information, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Strong understanding of SQF standards, QA/QC processes, and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for decision-making purposes.
  • Knowledge of quality control techniques including inspection methods and data collection strategies.
  • Effective communication skills to train staff and collaborate across departments.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of product safety and quality assurance.
  • Relevant certifications in food safety or quality management are preferred but not mandatory. HACCP certification with demonstrated practical experience required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
