About Us
High Purity Water Services Inc. (HPWS) is a successful, growing company specializing in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of turnkey high purity water systems, including ultrapure distribution loops. Many of our systems are listed with Health Canada as licensed Medical Devices. We serve customers across the life sciences, laboratory, healthcare, biotech, pharma, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, self-starter Field Service Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain critical high purity water systems at customer facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with water softener troubleshooting and repair as well as industrial/commercial reverse osmosis (RO) system service and maintenance.

This position is central to ensuring customer satisfaction, driving retention, and supporting the growth of our service business.

Certifications & Requirements

  • Valid Ontario “G” driver’s license with clean driving record
  • CSA-approved work boots
  • Certifications required prior to first project: Working at Heights, First Aid, WHMIS, Forklift, Scissor Lift
  • Plumbing piping experience an asset
  • Electrical and PLC experience an asset

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial/commercial water softeners and multi-media tanks
  • Service, sanitize, and chemically clean industrial/commercial RO units and reservoirs
  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, pressure switches, and level switches
  • Perform preventative maintenance on pure water systems
  • Support plumbing installations, process piping, and repairs
  • Perform pure water distribution loop cleaning and pipe replacements
  • Identify proper materials and quantities for projects
  • Maintain company vehicle, equipment, and installation records in good order
  • Represent HPWS with professionalism at all customer sites
  • Participate in on-call rotation (1 week at a time) for after-hours emergencies

Skills & Competencies

  • Demonstrated expertise in water softener troubleshooting and repair
  • Strong knowledge of industrial/commercial RO systems
  • Ability to work independently under minimal direction
  • Problem-solving and diagnostic skills with mechanical/electrical components
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professional demeanor and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle medium to heavy equipment and work safely on client sites
