The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) has 1 (one) exciting fixed-term opportunity up to April 14, 2028 within the Finance, Governance and Strategic Services branch at the CATSA HQ.

Summary of responsibilities:

The Analyst, Payroll, Benefits and Pension Administration is responsible for supporting pension administration, disability management activities, as well as providing operational support to the payroll function, while responding to employee requests for information. The role ensures the accurate and timely processing of pension and payroll-related activities, and the maintenance of reliable data within supporting systems. The Analyst, Payroll, Benefits and Pension Administration performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.


What you need to succeed

To qualify for the position, you must have:

  • Graduation from a recognized college with a specialization in Human Resources, Business Administration or another specialization relevant to the duties of the position
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in pension and benefit administration, including exposure to several year-over-year pension cycles
  • Experience maintaining effective control of correspondence, files, records, accounts, manuals, authorities and directives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to develop complex calculations and audit data for inconsistencies.
  • Experience using payroll software and HRMS.
  • Knowledge of the various legislation, regulations and policies relevant to payroll, benefits, and pension administration.
  • Knowledge of best practices and trends in payroll administration and benefits.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.


Valuable skills include:

  • Pension Plan Administration Certificate.
  • National Payroll Institute certification, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA


Specific work requirements


  • Language Profile: CBCC;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance
