Location: Remote mining site near Bathurst Inlet, Nunavut (Fly-in, Fly-out)

Position type: Seasonal, 12-hour shifts, FIFO rotation. Camp accommodations provided. 3 weeks in / 3 weeks out.

Overview We are seeking an experienced Mobile Crusher Operator to operate and maintain Metso Lokotrack crushing equipment at a remote site, ensuring safe, efficient production. This role requires strong heavy equipment skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic mining/construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor mobile crushing and screening plants (Metso Lokotrack) for optimal production.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on crushers, screens, belts, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Move and position equipment to optimize mobility and minimize haul distances.
  • Manage material flow, prevent jams, and maintain production rate targets.
  • Complete production logs, maintenance checklists, and incident reports accurately.
  • Identify and escalate operational or safety issues to supervisors; participate in problem-solving.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Assist with general plant duties (e.g., loading, shipping, light fabrication) as needed.
  • Communicate clearly with team members; follow site safety procedures.

Working Conditions

  • Mining/industrial environment with extreme temperatures, high noise levels, moving parts, dust, and occasional chemical exposure.
  • Physical duties: standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 lb (23 kg), working outdoors in adverse weather.
  • PPE: hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety boots; respiratory protection or additional PPE as required by site policy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience operating mobile crushing equipment; Metso experience preferred.
  • Proficient with material feeders (e.g., excavator, wheel loader, skid steer) and basic plant maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and safety-minded approach.
  • Valid driver’s license. Ability to obtain site-specific certifications/training as required.

Licensing & Compliance

  • Eligible to work in Canada; ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule in a remote environment.
  • Willingness to undergo site-specific safety training and inspections.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive wages (based on experience) and 12-hour shift pay structure.

Pay: $600.00-$700.00 per day
