About Us
McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.

Position and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operating circuits as per outlined procedures and guidelines.
  • Identifying, documenting and reporting any maintenance concerns to support continual improvement throughout the operation.
  • Responsible for handling materials weighing up to 50 pounds as part of routine duties.
  • Assist senior operators with routing and project related tasks as required.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:
  • grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
  • equivalent combination of education and experience considered;
  • valid class 5 driver’s license;
  • team player with excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • required to work both on surface and underground; and
  • work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Assets:
  • experience working in an industrial environment;
  • potable water treatment experience; and
  • level 1 and 2 water treatment and level 1 wastewater treatment certification.
Conditions of Employment:

  • pre-employment substance test.

This is a 12-month temporary position.
