K1 Speed Canada is looking to hire an Events Sales Agent.

Please note that this position works out of K1 Speed Toronto as well as an office located in Downsview Park (5 minute walk from K1 Speed Toronto).

100% on site role at our K1 Speed Toronto, located at 75 Carl Hall Rd Unit 9, North York, ON M3K 2B9

This is a full time role (4 days a week to start - 30 to 35 hrs)

Wednesday and Saturdays - 10am to 6pm working in Events

Friday or Sunday and one other day (2 days total) - working as Cashier

K1 Speed Canada, North America's innovator and leader in indoor electric go karting is rapidly expanding and needs top sales closers to be at the forefront of booking different types of group events from birthday parties, company functions, bachelor/bachelorette parties, team-building events, and more. We have an awesome problem of getting too many inbound calls/leads every single day of the week because our customers just love celebrating with speed.

As an Sales Event Agent, you will take inbound/outbound calls daily, selling group packages, scheduling events on the calendar, placing food orders and/or catering from our suppliers, and providing a start to finish all-in-one experience to each and every customer. If you enjoy and thrive working in a fast paced, customer service focused career we would love to hear from you.The successful candidate will also train and work as a cashier while learning the Events Department before permanently moving to the Events Department. Working on site as a cashier is a great opportunity to learn more about the business and how events are run onsite. That knowledge is key to being a successful Events Sales Agent.

EVENTS ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You must be comfortable with fast-paced inbound and outbound sales
• You must be fluent in scheduling and coordinating details with various suppliers
• Accurate contract execution relaying specific information to each location's correct department(s)
• Handling 100+ calls per day regarding our specific locations, products and services
• Ability to accurately assess and address customer needs and concerns
• Ability to follow a sales process by using an optimized response system
• Ability to build and manage a pipeline of prospects and follow-up in a timely manner
• Consistently meet KPIs which include the number of follow-up and deal/revenue goals
• Participate in weekly Group Sales meetings
• Support the site before/during events and run Podium Ceremonies when needed
• Prospect, network and promote K1 Speed Events with potential customers and local businesses
• Duties as assigned by Management

SKILLS and/or QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-2 years Outbound/Inbound Sales experience is a must (a highly transactional background is a plus)
• Self confident in product knowledge, client relationships and closing deals
• Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Ability to stay calm, positive and driven in a fast paced environment
• Team player that works well with others to strive towards a common goal
• Call center experience is a plus
• Experience with CRM, lead management platforms
• Must be coachable

CASHIER ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform cash handling duties and transact business with our customers
• Maximize revenue by effectively up-selling
• Efficiently fill the day’s racing schedule
• Perform opening duties to prepare the facility to receive customers
• Coordinate group events and perform award ceremonies
• Provide accurate information to our customers in person and over the phone
• Ensure that the lobby, banquet room, lounge and restroom areas remain clean and safe
• Accurately count till(s) and provide funds for deposit
• Perform specific facility cleaning duties as assigned by management
• Perform closing duties to clean the facility and prepare for the following day’s operation
• Other duties assigned by Management

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Customer service: 2 years (Required)
• Call center: 1 year (Required)
• Sales experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Front of House Restaurant experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Events Management: 1 year (Preferred)

Pay: From $17.60 to $19.00
