Start Date: ASAP


Salary: $17.60 - $21.12 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY: Our Cafeteria is looking for a dynamic and collaborative member to join our team! The Food Counter Attendant maintains a clean, fresh, and well-stocked salad bar for our customers. The Attendant takes pride in food presentation, practices safe food handling, and enjoys working in a fast-paced food service environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares and arranges fresh salad bar ingredients (vegetables, fruits, toppings, dressings, etc.), while ensuring food items are fresh, properly labeled, and rotated according to food safety standards.
  • Follows food safety and sanitation guidelines during food preparation and service
  • Keeps the salad bar area clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
  • Monitors food levels and restocks as needed throughout the shift.
  • Assists with prepping ingredients in advance of busy periods.
  • Disposes of expired or spoiled items according to policies.
  • Interacts with customers courteously and responds to any inquiries or special requests
  • Completes opening and closing duties for the salad bar station.
  • Supports kitchen team with light prep or cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Academic
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Skills & Knowledge
  • Previous food service or kitchen experience a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Friendly, team-oriented attitude
  • Models professional attributes and the core values of CMCC, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Innovation, Nurturing & Growth (“CARING”)
