Fuel wellness with flavor by combining your culinary skills and passion for customer service at Healthy Planet Commissary. In this fast-paced, customer-facing role, you’ll prepare and serve nutritious menu items while ensuring food safety, quality, and exceptional service. You’ll work closely with the team to maintain fresh displays, support smooth operations, and create positive customer experiences that align with our wellness mission. Commitment to training, teamwork, and attention to detail are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Quality

• Prepare and serve menu items following company recipes and food safety standards.
• Complete daily food prep tasks including knife and mandolin skills.
• Prepare and season raw chicken according to company recipes and safety standards.
• Operate rotisserie ovens, monitor cooking times and temperatures.
• Maintain fresh, attractive displays of rotisserie products.
• Label, package, and handle products within prepared meals and menu categories.
• Receive, rotate, and maintain product inventory freshness.

Food Safety & Sanitation

• Adhere strictly to all food safety, sanitation regulations, and company policies.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Keep all work areas clean, sanitized, and organized throughout shifts.

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service throughout their visit.
• Assist customers with questions, special requests, and POS transactions accurately and attentively.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding menu planning, preparation, and execution.

Teamwork & Operational Support

• Collaborate with commissary and store team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support commissary and store excellence.

Training & Compliance

• Completion of required Lessonly training modules
• Ongoing participation in workshops and brand education sessions to stay current on wellness trends and company initiatives
• Demonstrated commitment to attendance, punctuality, team collaboration, and reliability

Other Duties

Qualifications and Requirements

• 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
• Prior food prep or commissary experience preferred, especially in deli or hot foods.
• Ability to consistently follow recipes and cooking instructions.
• Food Handler Certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and applicable regulations.
• Passionate about healthy food, wellness, and customer care.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Quick learner with the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, busy restaurant or cafe environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
