*The position is based at our Montreal Head Office*
FUNCTIONALAB Group is seeking an R&D and Clinical Studies Coordinator for its Product Division as part of a maternity leave replacement.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Director of R&D and Scientific Affairs and actively contribute to the development of innovative dermocosmetic projects.
Candidate Profile – Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific field related to dermocosmetology, such as chemistry, cosmetic chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or any other relevant training/experience
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong scientific rigor in research and development as well as quality control
- Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in English is required to adequately serve our English-speaking clientele. French is required for all internal communications and interactions with French-speaking clients.
- Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and excellent ability to manage priorities
- Proactive mindset, responsiveness, and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional approach when interacting with clinical study participants
- Proficiency in computer tools, particularly Excel, and various online platforms (e.g., Calendly, Mailchimp)
Key Responsibilities -
Clinical Studies
- Plan and coordinate clinical studies, including participant recruitment, appointment scheduling, and logistics
- Monitor studies conducted internally and with partner clinics
- Perform clinical evaluations, compile data, and analyze results
- Manage before-and-after photos and satisfaction questionnaires
- Contribute to scientific analysis and the drafting of scientific documents or articles
- Coordinate orders for products and materials required for studies
Product Development
- Support the Director of R&D in dermocosmetic product development projects
- Coordinate the shipment of samples, components, and documentation to partner laboratories
- Conduct research, organization, and synthesis of technical data on active ingredients
Training and Communications
- Coordinate training schedules and related communications
- Manage training content on the Docebo platform (Dermapure Academy)
- Produce participation reports and oversee newsletters for healthcare professionals
- Maintain and optimize Mailchimp distribution lists
Quality Control -
Support the Director of R&D with the following quality control tasks:
- Participate in product quality evaluations and stability monitoring
- Approve components and finished products
- Complete and follow up on quality documentation related to production and goods receiving
- Collaborate with laboratories to ensure production compliance
