Based out of Nisku, Alberta, we are looking for an Intermediate Structural Steel Detailer who wants more than repetitive drafting work—someone who takes pride in accuracy, understands how drawings translate to fabrication, and wants to be part of a team that delivers complete metal building solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare General Arrangement and Assembly shop drawings for approval and fabrication using Tekla Structures
  • Develop accurate 3D models and generate cut lists based on client drawings and specifications
  • Interpret and apply project requirements, codes, and detailing standards
  • Coordinate with internal teams to maintain schedule, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Work with subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure model and drawing alignment
  • Identify and resolve detailing issues before they impact fabrication or construction

Qualifications include:

  • Diploma in Engineering Design Technology program from an accredited Canadian Technical Institute (ex: NAIT, SAIT) - (REQUIRED)
  • 3+ years in the Metal Building Industry (REQUIRED)
  • Experience with metal building systems and sheet metal components
  • Advanced proficiency of Tekla Structures (REQUIRED)
  • Solid understanding of steel detailing practises, terminology and workflow
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment

Compensation:

  • Starting wage from $31 to $33 per hour based on experience level
  • 3 Weeks Paid Vacation (accrued)
  • Earned Day Off Program (Every 4th Friday Off)
  • Company paid time off from Christmas Day to New Years Day
