About Hi-Tech Manufacturing

Hi-Tech Manufacturing is an established, family-owned Canadian machining shop serving the Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Clean Tech and Aerospace industries — with a team culture built around precision, ownership, and getting it right. We are ISO 9001 certified and currently working toward AS9100 certification — a reflection of our commitment to aerospace-grade quality standards and the kind of shop culture that takes precision work seriously.

We invest in the people who make all of this possible. If you’re a skilled machinist looking for stability, meaningful work, and a shop that respects the craft, this is worth a read.

The Role

We’re hiring a senior CNC Mill Machinist for our evening shift (10-hour shifts). This is a high-skill, high-autonomy role — you’ll be setting up and running both 3-axis and multi-axis (4/5-axis) milling equipment with minimal supervision. We’re looking for someone who’s genuinely mastered the craft and takes ownership of their work.

★ Lathe experience is an asset and could further strengthen your rate.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines, primarily Fanuc-controlled equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models using SolidWorks and other CAD software
  • Program CNC machines to produce precise parts according to specifications using CNC programming skills
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC milling machines to ensure optimal operation
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and quality standards
  • Select and use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for machine setup or minor repairs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety protocols
  • Assist with assembly or related manufacturing tasks when required
  • Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of CNC machining experience with a milling focus
  • Proven ability to set up and run both 3-axis and 4/5-axis milling equipment
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision — this is a senior role
  • Experience with Mastercam is an asset
  • Manual machining experience is an asset
  • CNC Lathe experience is an asset
  • Must supply own basic hand tools
  • English proficiency required
  • Must be able to work evening shift, in-person at our Oakville facility

This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced machinists seeking a stable role with a reputable company. Candidates should be committed to quality craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement in their work.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Dental care
  • Extended health care
  • Life insurance
