This role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge to ensure quality and efficiency in production. Experience with DMG MORI, specifically DMU 340 Gantry with hyperMILL CAD/CAM Software and Fanuc controls, and related machining tools is highly desirable. The CNC Mill Operator will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing processes, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining optimal machine performance.

  • Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software and troubleshoot issues related to Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery such as press brake machines and CNC equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for accurate machining processes.
  • Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Conduct welding, assembly, and packaging tasks as needed within the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist with warehouse activities such as forklift operation or overhead crane operation when required for material handling.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements based on observations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar machining equipment in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAD software (hyperMILL preferred), blueprint reading, and mechanical principles.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and hand tools used in machining operations.
  • Ability to operate forklift equipment safely when necessary.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
  • Experience with quality control procedures including the use of calipers and other precision measurement tools.
  • Knowledge of welding, assembly processes, packaging procedures, and warehouse operations is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude combined with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or machining environments is required. This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals with technical skills in CNC machining and manufacturing processes to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to precision engineering and quality production.
