Full job description

With many construction projects across Western Canada, LMS Reinforcing Steel Group is actively looking for a Rebar/Shop Drawing Detailer to join our team in Calgary.

Job Duties:

  • Detailing rebar for fabrication and installation crews.
  • Interpret structural drawings, architectural drawings, and other information as required to create detailed bar lists and/or shop drawings.
  • Use computer-assisted drafting equipment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience detailing reinforcing steel, producing either shop drawings or detailed bar lists for field use.
  • Ability to operate a CAD detailing workstation.
  • Building information models (BIM) experience is an asset.

Assets:

  • 2+ years of rebar detailing experience preferred
  • Computer proficient, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • MicroStation experience
  • Understanding of rebar standards and practices.
  • Project coordination/project management experience.
  • Experience as a Rebar and/or Post Tensioning Cable installer.
  • aSa experience
