Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tekla Detailer to join our steel fabrication company. If you have a passion for 3D modeling and want to work on exciting, diverse structural projects, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Create highly accurate 3D models of structural steel and miscellaneous metals using Tekla Structures.
  • Generate detailed shop drawings, assembly drawings, erection plans, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Identify and resolve design conflicts or interferences (clash detection) before fabrication begins.
  • Interpret structural drawings, architectural designs (IFC), and project specifications.
  • Write and track Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify missing or conflicting design data.
  • Produce CNC data (NC/DXF files) to support our automated fabrication equipment.
  • Ensure all models and drawings comply with AISC, NISD, and company standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using Tekla Structures is required.
  • Advanced, hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD or Bluebeam is a plus.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills, spatial comprehension, and a solid understanding of connection design.
  • Strong attention to detail with high mathematical and geometric accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate professionally with project managers, engineers, and fabricators.

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday
  • 7am-5:30pm
  • Weekly pay
  • Overtime after 44 hours in a week

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
