Unified Automation specializes in commercial and luxury residential automation, security, audio-video, networking, and technology infrastructure solutions, delivering seamless, future-ready systems that enhance security, connectivity, and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will own and manage a designated territory, balancing the growth of existing client relationships with the pursuit of new business opportunities. This position requires regular travel, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of construction and technology sales cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within assigned markets and territories to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, builders, and industry partners.
  • Conduct regular on-site visits to customer and prospective client locations to perform meetings, presentations, site assessments, product demonstrations, and solution reviews.
  • Own and manage an assigned geographic territory, strategically balancing time between existing account management and new business development activities.
  • Prospect through cold calling, networking, referrals, industry events, and in-person meetings to build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Identify opportunities while on the road and proactively engage potential customers as opportunities arise.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that clearly communicate Unified Automation's value proposition and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and technical teams to ensure successful project execution and exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Utilize Salesforce and other CRM tools to manage leads, track opportunities, maintain account information, and analyze sales performance.
  • Negotiate contracts, proposals, and service agreements to secure profitable business partnerships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
  • Participate in networking events, trade shows, industry conferences, and customer engagement activities.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to the Sales Manager to ensure opportunities are progressing and projects are successfully quoted and awarded.

Requirements

  • Proven success in business development, outside sales, construction sales, technology sales, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Strong hunter mentality with a passion for prospecting, relationship building, and closing new business.
  • Understanding of commercial construction, low-voltage systems, security, automation, electrical, or technology-related sales cycles is considered an asset.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and territory management skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a strong ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
