Position Summary
All members of the Sexton Group team will demonstrate respect and ethical conduct, will work safely, provide excellent customer service, and will work with the team to support superior performance in the achievement of both individual and company goals.
The Business Development Manager is to identify business opportunities across the assigned region and developing effective strategies to recruit new members. Key Responsibilities
- Proactively targeting, building, and fostering new and existing member relationships.
- Increasing purchase volume, and maximizing revenue potential for current and target members.
- Developing and implementing strategies for increased Sexton Group Member purchases.
- Maintaining ongoing and comprehensive market and product knowledge.
- Providing program solutions and services support to Sexton members, while assisting in the determination of their current and future business needs.
- Monitoring relationships with existing and prospective members through CRM systems.
- Utilization of the existing CRM systems to manage all growth opportunities.
- Submission of progress reports and accurate data maintenance as required.
- Maintain and develop positive vendor relationships as defined and required by the reporting manager.
- Working collaboratively with the marketing, communications, and accounting departments.
- Attending industry functions (association events, conferences, etc.) and providing feedback on market positioning and innovative trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Education, or equivalent work experience (minimum 5 years).
- 5-10 years of sales and management experience, preferably in the building materials and construction industry.
- Sales negotiation training would be considered an asset.
- Can easily persuade and influence other from inside and outside of the company.
- The ability to motivate, inspire and foster enthusiasm in team members is fundamental to the success.
- Provides excellent customer service to its customers.
- Demonstrated attention to detail by providing accurate and timely information.
- Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills to persuade others.
- Proficient in project and data management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team but also work alone unsupervised.
- Performs at the highest level in an extremely fact paced environment.
- Consistently possess high energy, confidence, and ambition.
- Consent to and pass a pre-employment drug test (Policy C-14 Substance and Alcohol Abuse Prevention).
- Consent to and pass a satisfactory (soft) Credit Record Check.
- Execution of a Non-Disclosure, Non-Use, and Non-Solicit Agreement.
