Full job description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Vice President for Land Acquisitions to lead our team on a full-time basis at our location in Woodstock, ON.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development strategy for renewable energy projects in Canada and support the growth of Prowind’s Canadian business
  • Manage and develop the Canadian team (approx. 5 people)
  • Identify and secure new renewable energy project opportunities and advance wind, solar, and battery storage projects through the development process, including permitting and land acquisition
  • Conduct financial evaluations of project opportunities and review project economics and risks
  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners, communities, consultants, and development partners
  • Represent Prowind in discussions with stakeholders, regulators, and industry partners
  • Monitor policy developments and market trends affecting renewable energy in Canada

Requirements

· Senior leadership experience in renewable energy development or a related industry

· Proven experience in project development, preferably in wind energy and strong understanding of renewable energy markets and regulatory frameworks

· Experience in financial analysis and evaluation of development projects

· Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills

· University degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience

· Fluency in English is required for business communication and stakeholder management

· German language skills would be considered an asset

· Willingness to travel
