Full job description

BURNCO is a leading supplier of construction materials, proudly serving communities across North America. We are committed to quality, safety, and customer service, and we’re building a team that reflects those same values.

Are you a self-starter interested in improving processes, systems, and the way teams work? We are hiring a Procurement Process & Systems Analyst for our Calgary Head Office. If you have strong writing skills, project experience, and a collaborative mindset, we want to hear from you!

This project-focused role supports procurement process improvement across the organization by reviewing current practices, identifying opportunities, and helping turn ideas into practical solutions. You will work closely with open, collaborative cross-functional teams to support process documentation, communications, work instructions, system enhancements, and user adoption activities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys independent thinking, managing multiple priorities, and using tools such as Oracle Cloud and SharePoint to improve how work gets done.

What you will be doing

  • Analyze procurement processes to identify gaps, improvement opportunities, and industry best practices
  • Support procurement system and process enhancements, including requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, integration, impact assessment, and user adoption activities
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, procedures, training materials, and user guides
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on procurement processes, systems, and related business applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate solutions and achieve project objectives
  • Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results through effective organization, attention to detail, and accountability

What we would like from you

  • A degree in Business, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion and SharePoint
  • Strong writing, documentation, customer service, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to clearly explain business processes and IS solutions to all levels of the organization
  • Strong interest in using technology, ERP environments, best practices, and process automation opportunities to improve procurement workflows
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures, with a continuous improvement mindset focused on reducing procurement costs
  • Proven change management skills, with the ability to think independently and deliver measurable business results
  • Professional certifications such as ISM, CIPS, PMP, or Six Sigma would be considered an asset

Location and other key details:

  • This is a full-time permanent position based out of our Calgary Corporate Office
  • The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Hybrid work flexibility with a blend of remote and in-office collaboration

Why BURNCO?

  • Be part of a supportive, high-performing team that values your growth and success
  • Enjoy competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and more
  • Experience our inclusive, collaborative, and safety-focused culture
  • Take part in team events, professional development activities, and community initiatives

Join us and be part of an organization that values safety above all. BURNCO offers a supportive and dynamic work environment where you can truly make a difference. With competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth, BURNCO is where you can thrive while contributing to a culture of safety and excellence.

BURNCO is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

We thank all applicants for their interest. Only those chosen for an interview will be contacted.
