Job Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Buffet Attendant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for our guests. In this lively role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and replenishment of buffet stations, ensuring that all food offerings are fresh, appealing, and safely handled. Duties

  • Set up and maintain buffet stations, ensuring all food items are attractively displayed and replenished promptly to meet guest demand
  • Monitor food quality and safety standards, adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, garnishing, and portioning to ensure a consistent presentation
  • Keep buffet areas clean and organized by regularly sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and equipment
  • Provide friendly and efficient guest service by answering questions about menu items and assisting with food selections
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing and ensure smooth operation of the buffet service
  • Handle cash register transactions using POS systems like Toast POS or similar platforms when applicable
  • Support overall restaurant operations by maintaining cleanliness in dining areas and ensuring compliance with health regulations

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is highly preferred
  • Ability to be available between 6am-1130am any day of the week
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
  • Experience with kitchen tasks such as food preparation, cooking, or meal assembly is a plus
  • Familiarity with POS systems like Toast POS or cashiering procedures is advantageous
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks involved in buffet setup and maintenance
  • Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude towards guest satisfaction
  • Previous hotel or barista experience can be beneficial but is not required
