Full job description

Summit Electric is a Canadian-owned company founded in 2002, specializing in industrial electrical contracting. We provide high-quality solutions for the Mining, Forestry, and Oil & Gas sectors, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and innovation. In 2023, Summit Electric joined Ampere Alliance, alongside our sister companies, Sabre Ltd. and Boundary Electric. Together, we collaborate to deliver comprehensive energy solutions.

Summit Electric is currently seeking Journeyman Electricians and 3rd/4th Year Apprentice Electricians to join our team at the Artemis Blackwater Gold Mine Project, located approximat hours southwest of Prince George, BC.

Project Details

Required Qualifications

  • Electrical Red Seal Certification (Journeyman)
  • 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprenticeship
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence

Pre-Employment Requirements

Successful candidates must be able to pass:

  • Drug and alcohol screening
  • Fitness-for-work medical assessment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industrial electrical experience
  • Fall Arrest certification
  • Elevated Work Platform certification

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous construction or industrial experience (considered a strong asset)
  • Be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
  • Be physically fit and able to perform demanding work for extended periods while maintaining safe work practices
  • Be comfortable standing for prolonged periods on stairs, elevated platforms, and uneven terrain
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Be willing to work in a variety of weather conditions and challenging environments
  • Be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
