Full job description
Barnstormers Brewing Company is currently looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact specifications and to set up stations for service. The successful candidate will have a passion for cuisine and play a key role in contributing to our customers’ satisfaction.
Responsibilities
· Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
· Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
· Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
· Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
· Clean up station and take care of leftover food
· Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line
· Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
· Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
· Report directly to Kitchen Manager and General Manager.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
Requirements
· 2 + years in a high volume, fast paced environment
· Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
· Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
· Familiar with industry’s best practices
· Passionate about Food & Beverage
· Ability to multi task and work well under pressure and deadlines
· Ability to communicate well with all staff members and management. Always guest focused and willing to continue to learn and grow within our company to help us continue to be a leader in our industry.
· Culinary school diploma an asset
We are currently looking for part- time staff. Must be available to work various shifts, including weekdays, weeknights, weekends, weeknights, late nights and holidays.

- cooking: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
