Overview

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in food preparation to ensure timely service and consistent quality
  • Cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including chopping, plating, and storage areas
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold food safety standards at all times
  • Support the serving staff by ensuring orders are prepared accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock to minimize waste
  • Adhere to all health department regulations and restaurant policies to promote a safe working environment

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
  • Applicants must have or Food Handlers certificate or get one within 2 weeks of getting hired.
  • Familiarity with food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
  • Experience with meal preparation for a high-volume environment is a plus
  • Strong understanding of serving standards and customer service principles within the food industry
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
