We are also excited to be recruiting for a Breakfast Line Cook (Shifts start at 6:00am) at our amazing property, Wyndham Garden Winnipeg Airport.

This is a full time position, 4-5 shifts per week and hours will be days and weekends each week.

Wyndham Garden is a full-service hotel located on the first Urban Reserve in Winnipeg; the Long Plain Madison Reserve located on Treaty 1 territory. The hotel is owned by Long Plain First Nation and is operated by Sparrow Hotels. The hotel features 132 guest rooms, pool, waterslide, fitness centre, 5800 square feet of flexible meeting space, dining room, café, and 230 parking stalls.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Breakfast Line Cook is responsible for leading the breakfast line during the AM shift, preparing and cooking breakfast dishes to standard, ensuring smooth service, and upholding all food safety, cleanliness, and quality expectations.

Duties:

1. Prepare and execute high-quality breakfast service by cooking and presenting menu items efficiently, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and exceptional food quality while meeting established recipes and presentation standards.

2. Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen by adhering to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, including proper food handling, storage, temperature controls, and cleaning procedures.

3. Set up and stock the breakfast line before each shift, ensuring all ingredients, equipment, and supplies are prepared and available to support a smooth and timely service.

4. Monitor food quality and inventory levels by minimizing waste, rotating stock using FIFO practices, communicating inventory needs, and assisting with prep work to ensure product availability throughout service.

5. Work collaboratively with the culinary team to deliver an exceptional guest experience by communicating effectively, supporting fellow team members during busy periods, and maintaining a positive, team-oriented work environment.

What you bring to the table:

1. At least 2-3 years of direct Line Cook experience in a busy/fast-paced hotel restaurant

2. A positive and hardworking attitude

3. Ability to effectively communicate with team members.

4. The ability to stay focused in a high volume, fast-paced industry and ensure accuracy and procedures are followed.
