RVS is seeking dedicated, adaptable and effective Substitute Teachers to join our close-knit and dynamic team. The successful candidate will be someone who embraces the unique talents of every child, creates a safe, nurturing and innovative learning environment, and strives to make a difference in each child’s life.

Responsibilities:

Working under the direction and supervision of the Head of School and Academic Leadership Team, Substitute Elementary Teachers will:

• Promote, achieve, and maintain a high standard of instruction.
• Assist students in acquiring ownership for their learning.
• Be familiar with those sections of the School Act, the regulations of Alberta Education, and regulations of the Board that pertain to educator responsibilities.
• Follow appropriate timetables and instructional plans.
• Maintain appropriate classroom management.
