Position: Shift Leader

Job type: full-time

We are seeking passionate and outgoing Shift Leaders to oversee operations during their respective shifts. In this role, you're embarking on a rewarding journey with the brand in Canada and setting forth on a potentially huge restaurant management career.

The ideal Shift Leader is passionate about food, demonstrates robust leadership abilities, and is dedicated to upholding the brand’s high standards. They excel in communication and willingly shoulder the responsibility for the restaurant's performance during their shift.

As a critical member of our restaurant leadership team, Shift Leaders work with restaurant management to provide the direction and training required on every shift to surpass our customer’s expectations. As a Shift Leader, you will receive comprehensive training to pave the path towards a restaurant manager position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Train, supervise, and reinforce SOPs, food safety procedures, and safe working measures.
  • Oversee and ensure the product quality, ingredient usage, and hygiene and sanitation practices that meet and exceed the company standards
  • Deliver fast, accurate service, maintain superior customer service and meet and/or exceed both company and customer expectations
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas at all time
  • Monitor supplies and manage inventory to ensure par stock level is maintained
  • Anticipate issues, identify them, and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Train and motivate team members to work with a sense of urgency
  • Foster a positive and welcoming environment for both staff and customers
  • Implement company policies
  • Oversee food and labour costs
  • Prepare daily shift reports
  • Reconcile daily sales and transactions
  • Uphold professional appearances for oneself and the entire team.

Requirements

  • Previous food service experience required
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Flexible availability
  • Strong leadership and customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand throughout a 5-8 hours shift
  • Willingness to work over 40 hours a week
  • Availability to work opening/closing shifts throughout the week

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
