Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to oversee daily operations at our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of restaurant management, food safety standards, and team supervision to ensure smooth and profitable operations.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, inventory, and customer service
  • Handling of hiring and training of all future management, front of house and heart of house employees.
  • Must be hardworking individual and prepared to be very involved on the floor of the restaurant, in the community and be able to work in a teams setting.
  • Committed to being a leader and not a boss, lead the charge, teach by delegating and educating.
  • Restaurant General Manager has a focus with the Front of House and Heart of House (Kitchen) operations
  • Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling procedures
  • Oversee food safety compliance and ensure adherence to health regulations
  • Handle cash transactions and POS operations using POSitouch.
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members with a focus on hospitality and food industry standards
  • Monitor restaurant performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement
  • Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times
  • Coordinate kitchen activities with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality control
  • Manage restaurant cleanliness, safety protocols, and overall facility maintenance
  • Lead team management efforts by motivating staff, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a positive work environment

Skills

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
  • Strong supervisory experience with team management capabilities
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
  • Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly POSitouch
  • Effective cash handling and financial management skills
  • Ability to oversee food handling procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
  • Experience in interviewing candidates and building strong teams in a restaurant setting
  • Knowledge of the food industry trends, kitchen operations, and restaurant experience including hotel or barista experience is a plus

1. Must be able to lead a team of management and staff.

2. We are looking for this candidate to be a business builder, rather then working countless hours!

3. Working hours expectations will be 45-50 hours weekly.

4. Boston Pizza is a family restaurant and Sportsbar, our restaurant tends to be busier, handling high frequency family style dining will be emphasized!

5. As we build out a stronger management team, there will be some entry hurdles of finding a flow of management in the location to strengthen operations.
