Part-Time Security Guard – Evening Shift

Bombay Banquet Hall in Surrey, BC is currently looking for two reliable and professional Part-Time Security Guards to join our team for evening events.

The Security Guards will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests, staff, and property during weddings, parties, receptions, and other events.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and event spaces during scheduled events.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment for guests and staff.
• Monitor guest activity and identify potential safety or security concerns.
• Assist with crowd control when required.
• Respond professionally and calmly to disturbances, conflicts, or inappropriate behaviour.
• Help prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of the banquet hall and surrounding property.
• Communicate security concerns promptly to banquet hall management.
• Assist management and event staff in enforcing venue policies.
• Contact emergency services when necessary and assist in emergency situations.
• Complete incident reports when required.
• Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when interacting with guests.

Requirements

• Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
• Previous security experience is preferred, particularly in banquet halls, event venues, bars, clubs, hotels, or similar environments.
• Strong communication and conflict-management skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Comfortable working around large crowds and busy events.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be available for evening and late-night shifts.
• Weekend availability, particularly Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, is important.

Schedule

This is a part-time evening position. Hours will depend on our event schedule and may include:

• Friday evenings
• Saturday evenings
• Sunday evenings
• Occasional weekday events
• Late-night shifts depending on event finishing times
