We are currently looking for a COOKS to join our dynamic team at at FIVE SAILS RESTAURANT, located in the Pan Pacific Hotel. Our team delivers Vancouver’s only Four Diamond dining experience in a charming and relaxed atmosphere. Where the city meets the harbor, and the land meets the sea.

Reporting to the Chef, the LINE COOK is responsible for safely preparing dishes required for a full-service restaurant. The ideal candidate should be motivated by an appetite for food and developing knowledge of various cooking techniques.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

-Experience as a line cook is an asset

- Grilling, frying, sautéing, chopping, etc.

-MUST have 5 years experience

-FOODSAFE certification is an asset, but willing to train

-Strong knife skills and workable knowledge of kitchen equipment

-Solid understanding of standard measurements and portions

-Energetic with a passion for food and a positive outlook

-Able to follow oral and written instructions -Likes to work as part of a team

-Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight

-Ability to stand for long periods of time

TO WORK FOR US: You MUST have valid proof of Social Insurance Number and be legal to work in Canada with proof as a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Residence or Valid Work Permit.
