Full job description

Mobile (Onsite) Screening Technician (Subcontractor, On Call)Join Our Team

Workplace Medical Corp. (WMC) is seeking Mobile Screening Technicians across British Columbia to provide onsite occupational health testing on an on-call basis.

This independent subcontractor role is ideal for reliable, self-motivated individuals who can respond to client requests on short notice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing and other occupational health screenings at client sites
  • Travel to client locations and follow established testing and chain-of-custody procedures
  • Maintain testing equipment and supplies
  • Complete accurate documentation and reports
  • Coordinate follow-up testing when required
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Availability Requirements

  • Available for on-call assignments during afternoons and nights, 7 days per week
  • Able to respond promptly and arrive at client locations within 3 hours of a call-out
  • Must live within a reasonable driving distance of the assigned service area
  • Must have a valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle

Qualifications

  • Experience in occupational health, medical testing, emergency response, or a related field is an asset
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Comfortable working independently in time-sensitive situations
  • Ability to transport testing equipment as required
  • Willingness to work as an independent subcontractor

Compensation

  • $30 to $35 per hour (based on experience)
  • $30 call-out premium
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Equipment, supplies, training, and onboarding provided
