This is a full-time on-site role, located in Mississauga ON for a Machine Vision and AI Developer.

As a Machine Vision and AI Developer, you are a driven and technology savvy specialist who thrives on designing, programming and implementing machine vision and AI Vision models into the products we offer.

You enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities and thrive on providing solutions that meet our client needs and timelines.

• Provide product design related to Machine Vision, AI and automation for the manufacturing sector.
• Develop and integrate software algorithms and hardware solutions using your Machine Vision experience to create new product capabilities.
• Design hardware layout such as illumination, lenses and cameras to create products for our customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create new or update solutions.
• Keeps abreast and excited about current trends in the automation industry.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering Computer Vision or Machine Vision.

Practical in-depth experience with development tools such as:

• Matrox/Zebra Design Assistant/Zebra Aurora, Zebra MIL Library
• Open CV or equivalent
• Depth AI, PCL, Halcon or equivalent
• Building AI vision models
• Exposure to tools for vision models (eg. Yolo)
• C#, C++, Python
• Image processing pipelines

Practical experience with machine vision hardware and methods:

• Machine Vision / GigE cameras
• AI camera and edge devices
• Augmenting Sensors – proxy, Lidar and similar
• Lenses and general selection of optics.
• Illumination methods including strobing and control.

Experience using MV for defect detection and measurement.

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

Nice to have:

Familiar with Industrial Protocols and PLC interfaces (ProfiNet, EthernetIP, Modbus), OPC UA and IO Control

Exposure to Machine Learning, AI and predictive models.

Experience with Agile culture and methodologies tools like Jira.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
