  • Design and engineer industrial equipment and mechanical systems from concept to production
  • Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings
  • Perform pump sizing, pump selection, and pump system design, including head loss calculations and system curve analysis
  • Perform mechanical calculations including stress, thermal, pressure, and flow analysis as required
  • Select and specify mechanical components, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Support fabrication, assembly, testing, and commissioning of equipment
  • Collaborate with electrical, controls, and manufacturing teams to ensure integrated system design
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, manuals, and technical reports
  • Support continuous improvement, cost reduction, and design optimization initiatives

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Experience in HVAC or refrigeration equipment design (chillers, heat pumps, air handling units, etc.)
  • Experience working with industrial standards such as ASME, CSA, ISO, and EN
  • Exposure to factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and commissioning
  • Familiar with CRN (Canadian Registration Number) processes and pressure equipment design
  • Exposure to EU certification and CE marking requirements (PED, Machinery Directive, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical/thermal engineering, ideally within heat recovery, refrigeration, HVAC, or energy systems industries.
  • Proven track record in system design, modeling, and development of complex mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
  • Proven experience in pump sizing, pump selection, and pump system design
  • Experience working in manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong work habits.

WHO WE ARE

Green Matters Technologies Inc. was founded in British Columbia as a private Original
Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and has evolved into a visionary company that focuses on creating environmentally sustainable products in the energy sector.

We develop advanced heat recovery technologies - "Captive Energy" trademark and energy systems that help buildings dramatically reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions while delivering real financial value. Our solutions combine thermodynamics, controls, software, and real-world engineering to solve some of the most challenging heating and cooling problems across commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.

We're building an engineering-driven organization where innovation moves quickly, ideas become products, and every team member has the opportunity to make a measurable impact. We design, manufacture, install, commission, and continuously improve our own technologies, giving our people the rare opportunity to see their work evolve from concept to reality.

We're still growing, which means there is enormous opportunity. You'll have the chance to work alongside experienced engineers, collaborate across multiple disciplines, influence product direction, and help shape the future of our company—not just your own role.

We look for people who are curious, resourceful, and passionate about solving difficult problems. People who enjoy taking ownership, challenging conventional thinking, and continuously improving themselves and the products they create.

If you're looking for a place where your work matters, where your ideas are heard, and where you can help build technologies that will have a lasting environmental impact, we'd love to meet you.

Join us in engineering a cleaner, smarter future.
