Veterinary Equipment Service Technician

Help Veterinary Clinics Keep Caring for Patients

We're looking for a Veterinary Equipment Service Technician based in Emerald Park, Saskatchewan to help veterinary and medical clinics throughout Western Canada keep their equipment operating safely and reliably.

What You'll Do

As a Veterinary Equipment Service Technician, you'll be the person clinics rely on when equipment needs to be installed, maintained, inspected, or repaired.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing veterinary and medical equipment
  • Performing preventative maintenance and annual inspections
  • Installing and commissioning new equipment
  • Providing technical support over the phone and in person
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software-related issues
  • Creating service reports and maintaining accurate service records
  • Coordinating service appointments and follow-up activities
  • Managing shipping, receiving, and inventory responsibilities as required
  • Building strong relationships with veterinary and medical professionals
  • Continuously developing technical expertise through supplier training and hands-on learning

This position requires regular travel throughout Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Southern Alberta, with occasional travel to Northern Alberta and British Columbia.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits
  • Basic understanding of computers and electronic systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in veterinary and healthcare environments around people and patients
  • Comfortable providing technical support over the phone
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout Western Canada
  • Ability to travel internationally for supplier training when required
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and boxes weighing up to 70 lbs
