Pylon Electronics - Montreal

Pylon Electronics Inc. is opening a NEW laboratory in Montreal this Fall, in our 70th anniversary! We are seeking an individual with the skills and qualifications to fill a full-time position as an Electronics Calibration Technician. The successful candidate must be able to obtain a Controlled Goods & Industrial Security Clearance of Secret Level II.

Pylon Electronics Inc. is an ISO 17025-certified calibration facility supporting electronic and physical test equipment and is one of the largest Canadian Owned Calibration Laboratories. Pylon Electronics has a solid reputation in the repair and calibration of measuring instruments. We currently have six laboratories located in Ottawa (ON), Toronto (ON), Dartmouth (NS), Calgary (AB), Edmonton (AB), and Richmond (BC). The new lab opening in Montreal (QC) will give Pylon Electronics a presence in seven of Canada’s largest cities.

Minimum skills / Requirements:

  • Graduate of an Electronics or Electrical Technical Program
  • Minimum of 3 years advanced electronics knowledge.
  • Above average skills with MS Excel, and VBA.
  • Programming experience such as METCAL, LabView, etc.
  • Well organized and attentive to details
  • Demonstrated communication skills
  • Meticulous work habits

Additional qualifications Considered an asset:

  • Calibration skills/experience
  • RF & Microwave experience
  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025
  • Specific experience or training with Electronics measuring/sourcing equipment

Pylon Electronics Inc. is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration facility supporting both electronic and physical test equipment. The Electronics Laboratory services a wide variety of equipment ranging from basic analog DC measurement/sourcing gear to sophisticated high-frequency equipment. Security Clearance

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a rigorous security screening to obtain a Secret Security Clearance with the Industrial Security and Controlled Goods Program.
