Summary

Managing a project's engineering and technical aspects including coordinating with various teams, developing and managing schedules, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and providing technical guidance to team members. Developing detailed project plans in the areas of design, manufacturing, procurement, quality. Identifying and resolving issues arising during the project. Maintains effective communication to all stake holders and accurately documents all aspects of the project. Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plan (timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessment etc.)
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the manufacturing and project teams.
  • Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Sales, to ensure all project goals are met.
  • Create Engineering designs that meet customer specifications, technical summaries, other contract documents and any applicable standards or industry best practices. Ensure designs meet performance, buildability, design efficiency and align with outlined design philosophy.
  • Execute Engineering design tasks and project assignments in support of prototyping/testing & product development activities
  • Ensure the product adheres to quality standards and regulations.
  • Generates initial BOM and W/O’s using Production control Database (SYSPRO)
  • Coordinates product test samples requirements with Regulatory agencies and customers
  • Maintains accurate project records, including Design Revisions, change planning and control, progress reports, technical specifications.
  • Carry out and document effective communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Early risk identification and corrective actions development, implementation and tracking for all issues arising during the project.
  • Schedules, prepares and delivers project updates on regular basis to all levels of management.
  • Manages projects closures and documents lessons learned.
  • Assist Sales and Marketing in product technical presentations to the customers.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a 4 year university degree program in electrical engineering
  • Well versed with Engineering Standards and Codes (CSA, UL etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and techniques.
  • Demonstrated hands on approach and know-how of Electrical-Mechanical components integration.
  • Ability to plan and manage a varied workload and have a pro-active and flexible attitude.
  • Knowledge of Solid Works software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to break down complex problems in a simplified way, conduct root cause analysis and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations.
  • Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations.

Certification:

  • University Degree in Engineering
  • P. Eng or eligible for license in Ontario.

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
