EMS Communication Training Coordinator
Join the Ministry of Health as an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Communication Training Coordinator and help shape how emergency calls are handled across Ontario. You'll lead the development of training programs that support Ambulance Communication Officers (ACOs) in delivering fast, effective, and life-saving responses.
About the job
In this role, you will:- Advise trainers and stakeholders on communication training standards and best practices
- Research and assess training needs based on public safety priorities
- Update training programs to reflect changes in legislation, technology, and service standards
- Develop curriculum, materials, and train-the-trainer resources
- Implement evaluation tools to measure training quality and impact
What you bring to the team
Technical knowledge and experience
You have:- knowledge of Ontario's Emergency Health Services programs, policies, and legislation
- expertise in adult education and instructional design
- experience developing training aligned with organizational goals
- understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement
- budgeting and resource planning skills
Communication and relationship building skills
You're great at:- communicating clearly, whether writing briefing notes or delivering presentations
- building strong relationships with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external partners
- collaborating and consulting to develop effective training solutions
- influencing decisions and sharing insights that improve training outcomes
Analytical and problem-solving skills
You can:- conduct research and analyze data to inform training strategies
- identify training needs and recommend effective learning approaches
- develop evaluation tools to measure program success
- prepare clear, concise briefing materials for senior leadership
